When starting the search for indoor office plant care take the following eight things into account.

1. Look for somebody who has been around a while. Maybe five years minimum, if they have been around at least that long they have been through some indoor plant maintenance problems and survived.
2. Are they knowledgeable? Hard sometimes for a layman to determine if the interior office plant service being considered is knowledgeable but make the best determination by asking some questions about lighting and watering. Does it fit with your understanding? Do they seem comfortable/confident?
3. Get a detailed estimate. This should be free. There should be a separate line item for the office plant service itself. Cost of your office plants should be provided individually. Pots for the indoor plants should be included individually. Will the interior office plants be serviced weekly or every other week? Unless you have very few office plants, the office plant service should be weekly.
4. Do they have references? Best to call one or two. Ask their customers, have they provided the interior plants for the office in good condition? Healthy and happy when they arrived? Have they been servicing the indoor plants as promised? Are they providing a guarantee for their indoor plant maintenance service? All houseplants provided should be guaranteed for a minimum of one year.
5. Does the indoor plant care service have insurance? Unfortunately, a needed expense for every company. Minimum would be a one-million-dollar liability policy.
6. Do you like the person representing the office plant service company? Can you work with them? The interior plants for your office will hopefully be around many years and you will have to interface with their employee weekly.
7. Was the interior plant maintenance company you’re considering responsive? Respond within 24 hours to your query? Make a specific appointment and show up on time? If they can’t manage this at the beginning, you know the office plant service is only going to get worse.
8. Do they require a contract for the indoor plant maintenance? If so, why? Basically, you are hiring an indoor gardener. Does your gardener at home require a contract? If you are leasing the office plants that would be different, but since you are only asking for maintenance of your office plants there is no need for a contract.

These are the 8 most important things to consider with choosing the best indoor plant care service.
